    Description

Hand crafted recreation of a very early and rare prewar television set from the late 1930's. I use original prewar radio cabinets and thoroughly tested electronics from NOS solid state black and white portable
television sets to bring back to life early television viewing. This set is typical in appearance of those from the late 1930's period and is in
    the
art deco style.  It has a 7" diagonal black and white screen. and a nice loud speaker.  Period appropriate decals, knobs (which are all functional), speaker cloth, and wood finish.
    Measurements ( approx): 12"
" tall,  23" wide and  12 1/2" deep.  The set has been converted to coaxial and may be attached directly to a cable box, DVD/VCR player, or a laptop using HDMI port and adapter. Some DVD players to not have coaxial output.  For these sets, I also sell "RCA to Coaxial" adapters.
Prewar television sets are extremely rare today as very few were made and very few families could afford one. When an original set comes to market now, it commands prices in the tens of thousands. I make these sets because I have always been fascinated by the thought of televisions being available in the 1920's and 30's and what it must have been like to have had the rare opportunity to own one.  When you turn on one of my sets and dim the lights a little you'll be transported to a time ( 80-100 years ago) when television was a novelty and truly magical!
