Being a WWI collector, primarily medical theme; I lived in France for several years and had the good fortune of finding many great items. I am thinning out my collection a bit and therefore will put up for auction over the next few months, several WWI booklets published in Paris by editor F. Rouff during WWI and therefore over 102 years old. Most are in great shape considering age and paper used.
The ongoing series during the war was published as the "Collection Patrie" ( "patrie" meaning patriotism for one's country)
The purpose was two fold... to give entertaining info on various aspects of the war and to build hope and condfidence for the French people during this difficult time. Of course, the text is in the French language.
The booklets were usually 24 pages in length and contained front page color art and a few black & white illustrations.... The cover art alone makes it a great collectable.
The booklets measures approx. 5 1/2 x 8 inches.
I will list them separately and show several photos ..

I try not to make money on shipping and cost will be around the standard shipping cost through USPS. I am not happy however that eBay charges commission including the shipping cost and now even charges commission on the sales tax!!!
Yes I can send one or more of these booklets by media mail ... however safer to send first class in a padded envelope and strongly reinforced with cardboard. Probably costs only a buck more or so. And I would never send a 100 year old fragile booklet as a simple letter... it would be destroyed.
So lets just say .00 for now as a way to cover super rigid padded envelope as a first class "package"... that is safer and it is also tracked.
And, of course I combine shipping and cost should be around the same for several booklets.
If you pay before I send invoice and if I am in a bad mood or frustrated, I may cancel your win!!!
