    Description

    A very different and rare Richard Wheatley fly box.  The fly box was probably purchased 20 years or so ago and was used to store a few flies but never taken streamside.  Over the years in storage, there have been a few marks, fingerprints, smudges, etc. (and dust) accumulated.
    This black colored fly box is unique in that it has hundreds (thousands?) of little black “nubs” projecting from the pads that hold the fly hooks between the “nubs”, thus allowing various nymphs, soft hackles and long-tailed dry flies to be held.
    The box measures 6 x 3.5 x 1.5 inches and has the same nubbed pads on both sides of the fly box.  A very unique and scarce Richard Wheatley, made in England fly box.  (flies are not included).
